MSME NEW DEFINITION W.E.F. 01st JULY 2020
MINISTRY OF MICRO, SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES (MSMED) vide Gazette Notification dated 01stJune, 2020 has notified the new criteria for MSME.
Now Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises will be decided on the basis of below mentioned criteria w.e.f 01st July 2020 :-
| Micro | Where the investment in plant & machinery or equipment does not exceed ONE Crore rupees AND turnover doesn't exceed FIVE Crore rupees. |
| Small | Where the investment in plant & machinery or equipment does not exceed TEN Crorerupees AND turnover doesn't exceed FIFTY Crore rupees. |
| Medium | Where the investment in plant & machinery or equipment does not exceed FIFTY Crore rupees AND turnover doesn't exceed TWO HUNDRED & FIFTY Crore rupees. |
by above definition it will bring more enterprises under MSME portfolio. Also major thing to be consider is that both investment and turnover condition to be fulfilled.
